Lately, I have been on the hunt for products that will make my home safer, cleaner, and greener. After reading and watching lots of reviews, I decided to try a few trending products. I think many people truly want to do their part to be more responsible with Earth’s resources. Sometimes it just doesn’t seem easy to adjust routines and we get stuck in old habits. I hope my reviews on these products can help shed away some layers of uncertainty and show you why it’s easy, fun, and better to start making a switch in your home too!

Laundry Detergent
Have you ever wondered why laundry detergent comes in such a large bottle? The answer is water. Most of the space inside the container is actually water, and in case you forgot, we already pay to use water in our homes. Also, that’s a lot of plastic used to create the containers. Sure, they can be recycled, but what if there was a way to eliminate the plastic part altogether? Enter: Tru Earth.
Tru Earth Laundry Sheets are so easy to use! All you do is tear a sheet in half down the perforated edge, toss it in the drum of your washing machine, then add in your clothing and wash as normal.

UPDATE: I have now been using these for almost a year and I still love them! The fact that they come straight to my door with a subscription makes it easy for me to manage. My clothes come out clean, my laundry room is less cluttered, and most importantly, I know this is a step in the right direction for my eco-footprint.
Wool Dryer Balls
A couple of years ago I decided to ditch dryer sheets and try wool dryer balls. There are lots of options on Amazon like these. Dyer balls add bounce to your dyer cycle which helps fluff clothing, reduce wrinkles, and eliminate static.
Unlike traditional dryer sheets, wool dryer balls don’t have any harsh chemicals in them, which is nice for your skin and nice for the environment.
Tip: Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to the dryer balls to recreate the fresh scent I know you’re afraid you’ll miss from dryer sheets. A really popular combo is lavender and eucalyptus. Try these essential oils from Amazon if you don’t have any around the house yet!
BlueLand Hand Soap
Where do I begin with hand soap? There are the typical single-use plastic bottles you can get at the store for about a dollar. You could buy a larger “refill” size to fill up a ceramic or metal container too, which isn’t a bad option. But we go back to the idea that these containers of liquid soap are mostly comprised of water. So, we’re essentially shipping lots of water, a resource we already have access to in our own homes, in plastic containers across the country to be placed in our stores.
